In December 2010, The Palmerston Group joined the Wise Elephant health team as they conducted a month-long volunteer excursion to India to provide medical treatment in remote villages in association with the Awake and Shine NGO.

This is the third year members of this team travelled to India in a continuing mission to provide service, having helped hundreds of men, women & children to date who otherwise have very little, if any access to healthcare.  

We worked alongside the medical team as they assisted the population of the Samthar Valley.  In addition to chronicling the excursion, The Palmerston Group was actively involved in facilitating the medical staff's needs and providing educational support to the community.

The team covered it’s own expenses for travel however the need for equipment and medicine continues to be great.  Please join us in contributing to this worthy cause that has made  difference to so many.  Any donations of funds or medical supplies you make go directly to patient care.
